Sabota Road is an infamous area in southern Canada, where kids sneak out to congregate, smoke weed, and watch the sun come up. Their sound is geared towards what happens in the deeper night till sunrise. Longtime fixtures in the B.C. music scene, Max Ulis and Robbie Slade both have (if somewhat indirect) roots in the area, making it a fitting name for their collaboration. Since Ulis and Slade both have full time careers playing music at midnight, the sound of Sabota is geared towards the deeper night or sunrise.
