Throughout Anna Langley’s life music has been a constant. As a little girl, she would fall asleep to notes floating up the stairwell as her mother played piano in the living room below. Music was present and encouraged throughout her childhood in many facets. She attended weekly music lessons well into adolescence, explored music history at Loyola Marymount University, and worked for a rock band manager while completing her Bachelors of Arts. Encouraged to get behind the decks by fellow DJs, it wasn’t long until Anna was dropping up-tempo, groovy, dance floor oriented house tunes at her first gig at Los Angeles’s Cinespace. Since then,Anna has become an emerging techno and house artist in her hometown of Portland, Oregon – recently performing at What the Festival and Decibel Festival in 2014. If there’s one thing you could say about Anna’s music, it’s that she’s always right on time with her selections, setting a vibe that moves the room. Known for her distinct track selection and seamless mixing ability,Anna Langley is truly one to watch in the coming years.
